I also remember what he did when they brought him in against the giants in the playoffs.  >:(

MLB should rename the new Intentional Walk (without throwing pitches anymore) "The Aaron Barrett Intentional Walk," since he was incapable of throwing one without screwing up big time.

Perhaps Carter Kieboom isn't QUITE ready for the Big Show just yet...

you may be right, which is the plus of having this be just a one month, every day thing.  It's long enough to gage things. He can be sent down when Turner is up.  If he struggles a bit (like he did last year when bumped up to AA), then works it out, we are better off.  Remember, it's him or Difo or Sanchez at this point. As long as he's not worse than those guys, we are not hurting ourselves by playing him.

It seems to me that Kieboom is worse than Difo and Sanchez right now.

let it be.  Really, he's been up less than a week. He did not look overmatched his first 3 games, but his next 3 he did.  This is why Rizzo is going to let this play out a month.  He wanted an extended trial.  CK goes 3-4 again today, like he did Sunday, and he walks on water for some folks.

agreed.  He's still our best option at short right now.

Yes, think of it as an investment.  It will be blow-up time soon, and if Rendon is dealt away, CK can step in and continue to gets some serious OTB training.  Having said that, I hope Rendon can reach an agreement to stay.

Or maybe he isn't really a shortstop.

Sounds like Noll is en route to the east coast. Scratched from Fresno’s lineup last night.

I wonder if the Nats had to call up 2 players whether they would call up S kieboom and play Gomes in the field? You could go with Noll and Gomes on the corners, Kendrick in left and still have a line up that could hit.

Yes. NY Rangers had the "Gag line": the "Goal a game" line. Kieboom is the "Eag" player, the "Error a game" guy. And the strikeouts...

Can Spencer play SS?  Can't be much worse I suppose. Making the routine play is THE most important skill.  That's why Desmond doesn't play there anymore.

7.91 ERA. He's perfect for our bullpen

MF looks like Sid from Ice Age.

Thus far, he made out like a bandit in arbitration.

More about being ineffective than hurt I suspect.

Optioned Carter Kieboom to Triple-A Fresno

Don't think this call-up did much for Kieboom's confidence. And, after such a great start, too.
