so he basically accepted an offer less than what we offered him.  :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical:

Philles will have Harper when he is 39.  :hysterical:

He'll be more a Philly than a Nat when he retires. No opt outs.

That helps a lot with the luxury tax- probably better for the team than a 10 year deal

true but 36-39 with his violent swing he will be terrible or maybe not even playing.

Basically extended the deal to 13 years and gave up opt out so he could say he beat Machado and Stanton’s contract.

Goodbye Bryce.  Congrats on being the Bobby Bonilla of Philadelphia.

waited six months only to end up on a team he didn't want to go to and with a contract that is worse than stanton (even stanton had an opt-out)

So we need a new poll: When will Philly trade Harper and how much of his salary will they eat?

It's just spreading out the luxury tax hit.  They're realistically paying him 330 for 8 years.

But, damn that sucks.   Have fun with your 1 WAR player PHilly.

He is who some of you thought he is. He went all in the for the most money down to every last dollar. (I was wrong.) What an jerk.

He will regret this decision for the rest of his life. No opt outs, either. He's stuck in Philthyadelphia.

Pretty much they need that universal DH to go through now

Trout and Harper in Philly would be scary.

I'm happier about this than if he had taken a short term deal somewhere else.  He's likely going to be miserable, and he's an albatross for the Phillies for years to come.
