Does the Ewing theory get renamed the Harper theory?

I don’t think it applies. Harper wasn’t our best player.

Can anyone imagine the grief fans are going to give Bryce next season ?

Dear Bryce,

Thinking of you in these difficult times.

I think now that the Nats have won the championship, they should leave Bryce alone. It’s unseemly to boo him or appear to care about him at all.
We won.

If he was your neighbor or family member, I would agree.  But he makes millions and has a celebrity status that would exist even if he had stayed in DC.  So while your leave alone idea is a good one, it's not going to happen.

This dude dramatically bowed to Phillie fans in RF in OUR PARK, in his first series back.  Reminder, this was after a demonstrative, dismissive bat flip at OUR DUGOUT after a HR.  Talked about how fun it was in Philly because he has different hand shakes with every player, and so on.  He went to our rival.  He deserves our scorn.

Personally, I’d go with raining ring pops from the stands

I fully expect a "Thank you Bryce" chant for bringing a championship to D.C.

Ugh.   Forget about Bryce. He means nothing.

Agreed.  Most of the suggestions here (while funny) just make Nats fans look like petty marsupials ;)

I saw this at work and thought it was pretty good. Apologies if it's already been posted;

I called Harper's phone

Not seeing Bryce there...are you implying anything about his absence?

Listening to the Baseball Tonight podcast this week with Buster Olney, he had Tim Kurkjian on as a guest.  One of their topics was position player rankings and how hard it is to rank the top RF in the game.  Olney gave Kurkjian 4 choices:

Bellinger
Yelich
Betts
Judge

The only other RF even mentioned was George Springer, only because Olney said he put him a CF to make it easier to pick a RF.

During this entire debate, not once did the Phillies RF name come up.

Not trying to be a crap head but why would he.

He hasn't had a meaningful year since 2017. Harper hitting .260 with 30 isn't where he should be expectation wise.

If the conversations was about Jersey Sales or Hair, I'm sure he would have been mentioned
