With Scherzer due back on Thursday there is a question of who is sent down either Ross or Fedde.  I think Rizzo is going to surprise us and keep both and DFA Grace and Guerra. I’m thinking Fedde goes to the pen as the long man. The real dilemma is what to do when Zim is ready. Do you wait until September which is what I hope is possible.

Guerra is toast, IMHO...don't forget, we also have MacGowin...

Just keep Zimm on the IL until September...he's worthless anyway...

I think Fedde might go. He'll just be back 10 days later.

I did forget McGowin. Unless they bring up Holland Zim will replace McGowin.

They might not even send him. Just have him hang around the clubhouse, throw some heavy bullpen sessions. Maybe even throw BP to Zim

I think 8-0 might have had something to do with exercising caution.

Report on Ross is a contusion. Xrays negative. Not surprising given he walked off without a limp.

Maybe, but the pen was pretty tapped in terms of long relievers that you want to use in a 8-0 game. Sucks because Ross has been looking sharp lately.

Doesn't sound too bad
Quote
“We wanted to bring him in and get him checked out. He had X-rays, they were negative, so he’s just got a contusion. I’m just assuming that he’s going to be real sore tomorrow. I talked to him now, and he said he’ll be fine, so we’ll see how he feels tomorrow.”

Martinez confirmed that it did catch Ross on the shin, as opposed to the kneecap or any other part of the leg, but wherever you get hit with a 110 MPH comebacker, it’s not good.

Just heard that Strickland was weight lifting today and a bar fell on his face. His nose was bandaged and he’s heading to get X-rays.

Hmm, who was Bryce Harper's closest friend on the team?

Yeah, that Strickland does not strike me as the sharpest tool in the shed.

An accident can happen while lifting weights. Bar could slip. That doesn't make him an imbecile.

But then again, it's you.

Broken nose for Strickland.  In about 2 years he’ll sneak back into the weight room and beat the weight set with a wrench
