:lmao:  this has become your latest troll drum to beat on, you're no different from PB and AZ
Please. My desire for Stras to opt out is based in careful analysis, a deep understanding of pitching mechanics, and a fundamental desire for the team to rebuild when we still have Soto, Turner, and Robles under team control.

Those two are just dumb.

So most pitchers go to the IL after lights out performances?
No, but that unfortunately has been the pattern with Stras. Another pattern has been short stints becoming lengthy stays. Let's hope he's fine and all it was about was "tipped" pitches.

From an AP report last night:

LHP Roenis Elias (right hamstring) was expected to get an MRI to determine the extent of the injury suffered while running out a ground ball Friday. ... INF/OF Howie Kendrick did pregame running but did not play/start for the second straight game after missing Friday's game with leg cramps. ... RHP Scherzer (thromboid strain) is unlikely to be activated when eligible Monday. ''We've got to see him off a mound,'' general manager Mike Rizzo said. ... 1B Ryan Zimmerman (plantar fasciitis) took ground balls and ran the bases for the first time since returning to the IL July 22.

Apparently Corbin held a golf tournament on the six-hole golf course he has at his house in AZ. This was on Thursday. For both teams. Scherzer won the tournament.

Lots to digest in the paragraph above.

Per Grant and Danny show, Max played catch and didn't feel well, he's again been shut down.

Placeholder for Rendon.

Yeah, that wasn't good.   Always get nervous when Rendon gets hit from the shin/calf down.

updates from mlb.com:
- Scherzer won't pick up a ball again until Friday
- Rendon is ok and was only pulled for precautionary reasons per Davey.  So that means he sits out the weekend and ends up on the IL next week.

I'd hold Scherzer out till September. No need to rush him when Fedde and Ross have pitched well.

There's a strong chance this post won't age well.

Soto says he’s okay, feels better, he could maybe even play tomorrow. Says he didn’t want to come out but made joke with trainers he came out so Victor Robles would hit that HR haha. Great to see him in good spirits!

I've heard that an ankle sprain is sometimes worse than a break.

Mild ankle sprain apparently.  So he'll be back in April around the same time I'll be back.
