I don't know what Asdrubal Cabrera's splits are, but the Rangers just DFA's him.  I think the Nats can use him as a utility infielder.  He's a better hitter than Adrian Sanchez.

When he was here before all he did was complain about what position he played (SS vs. 2B) and where he hit in the order. He had a good year at the plate for the Nats but he seems like a selfish player to me.

Wasn't he bad mouthing the team and doing things like waving at the Nats dugout after getting a hit? And I believe his defense was a little suspect.

He for sure badmouthed the team in the press and his defense was horrible. He is not a very good shortstop.

So Davey left a reliever in to hit, a guy who has like 3 AB's on his career and he gets hurt running out a grounder.

Fantastic.

Heard in a report that they told him in English and Spanish numerous times not to take the bat off his shoulder.

You forgot about the part where Davey wanted to keep him in to face a lefty hitter, when lefty hitters are hitting over .300 off him this season, and they hit him better than righty hitters in his career.

That would follow the usual MO -- a trip to the IL after a really bad start.

So most pitchers go to the IL after lights out performances?
