It’s somewhat encouraging they went and pulled the IL trigger now. Makes me think they want him ready for an Atlanta game.

I'll say it again. Four acceptable starters is not enough in a rotation. I wish there were zero depth. There is NEGATIVE depth in this rotation. Need to acquire someone -- any half decent arm will do.

Might as well write off Tuesday night.

This team was screwed in May when Rizzo did nothing to fix the pen. Scherzer missing two or three starts isnt going to affect anything now

Scherzer says he has an inflamed bursa sac in his back. Got a cortisone shot 4 days ago. He believes he’ll be able to throw off a mound by day 5-6. So he won’t pitch this weekend, but he’s optimistic it will be soon after that.
