I hope he is going by canal boat so he does not make it until we return in 2020.

He's not being activated, just throwing a bullpen. :whip:

Rosenthal threw tonighht for Harrisburg, striking out one, allowing one hit, and walking none in 2/3rds of an inning.

The Nats have to make a decision as to what to do with him as his last day of IL eligibility is Sunday.

Also, MLB TR reports:

Quote
Note: Ryan Zimmerman resumed baseball activities today and will accompany the Nationals on this weekend's trip to San Diego, where he will attempt to begin running again. Zimmerman has been on the IL since April 28 with plantar fasciitis in his right foot, and though he made some progress he was shut down last week with a recurrence of pain when he tried to run.

Strained oblique for Adams. Likely heading to the IL

This ... is ... surprising. Honestly, I figured that if he went down with shoulder inflammation, that was it for the season.

I guess we'll see how he he does going forward. When he's healthy, he's been one of the better relievers.

Jake Noll isn't even hitting in Fresno. I assume he gets called up because he's our only possible 1B option, but Drew Ward is at least having a really good year in AA.

Kendrick and Parra have both been playing there, so I'd expect Difo or Sanchez rather than a 1B.

You're right, forgot about Parra. Difo would be my guess as well.

I think "perfect inning" is defined as 9 strikes in 9 pitches.

That’s an immaculate inning. I always thought perfect inning was 3 up 3 down.

yep, and a perfect game is 27 up / 27 down, not on 81 pitches. :)

Ward is hurt and isnt even on the 40man so no chance he would get a call until September.

I'm pretty sure Maddux once pitched a complete game on less than 81 pitches

I imagine it would be pretty boring, actually.
