3 aces? :hysterical:

1 a reliever.  But if we have 50% of the ace starters in baseball, that only amplifies my original point.

Justin Miller is headed to the IL. Back strain. Per Zuckerman

He felt it last weekend in NY. Tried to pitch through the pain. Sounds like the Ryan Madson situation.

Rendon day to day with a bruised left elbow. X-rays were negative.

If Rendon hits the DL, do we call up Kieboom?

Love Howie, but I'm betting he'll be able to play full time for a week before he's injured. Or badly tweaked. I hope not.

between sanchez, dozier and difo it's nice to have 3 infielders who are basically 0s with the bat for 5 of 7 days of the week

dunno.  Sanchez hit some this spring and hit when he was up before. Not saying he has a good minor league track record, but I think brings more O than Difo.

he has hit lefties well so is a nice cufflink to Difo.  If there's a plan to keep Kieboom down until the ASB, then I think Sanchez gets the next shot.   Also, if Turner is back in 2-3 weeks, then they probably do this just as a place holder rather than jerk Kieboom up and down.

When Stras, Eaton and Rendon are injured, it's usually NOT a short term deal.

He hit .227/.283/.309 against LHP in 2017 and .275/.310/.383. He's nothing worth starting.

This team is either in contention, or it isn't. If it is and Rendon is going to the DL, then you call up the next guy to play. If it's Howie, fine, but he is only going to last so long. And if Sanchez is a better option that Keiboom at this point, then we have some bigger problems. Because Sanchez is meh.

If Rendon is hurt, why wouldn't they consider Noll?  If he hits enough to make the Opening Day roster, you think you might at least consider him.

The reason to consider Sanchez has nothing to do with offense.  It's that they have no backup IF, and especially SS at all right now.  Seriously, what happens if Difo gets hurt in a game now?  Dozier?  Then Kendrick at 2B and Gomes at third?

And to make room, it was  Austin Adams sent down.  Not a Rendon move yet.  This looks consistent with expecting Rendon only to be limited for a few days.
