Good game so far in South Bend, although Notre Dame will get the ball to start the second half.

(The average SAT of incoming freshman at UMD is higher than that at PSU according to prepscore.com. No idea about the athletes, but Lavar was no genius.)

Sucks. My favorite college teams are UMD and whoever is playing Notre Dame.

This second half is, frankly, more like what I’d expected the whole game to be. Oh well. At least it’s a non-conference game. (And the other school I attended got a huge win last night.)

It was the right move.

Agreed. I will always defend Brady Hoke doing the same thing that one year against Ohio State.

I hated the result. But loved the play call. I wish Harbaugh had gone for two three years ago.

I'm pleasantly surprised at how Temple football has remained competitive despite going through so many coaches this decade.  Al Golden resurrected the program.  Since he left after the 2010 season, I count 4 coaches.  Addazio, Ruhle, Collins and now the new guy.  What's his name?  And I suppose you can count Manny Diaz even though he was only for a week or so.  And most of these guys including Golden have not done well after they moved on.  Can't blame them for taking the money though.

Another good effort so far today against #23 Memphis.

FSU and Clemson are playing and nobody cares. Very sad what has become of the Seminoles.

There is no more overrated team year in and year out than Georgia.   The SEC, as a whole, is vastly overrated as well.

Went to my first JMU game yesterday and had a blast watching them come from behind to wallop BCS #5 Villanova 38-24.

Pac-12 being more fratricidal than usual this year. Oregon and Utah now sit atop the two divisions with one loss each. Everyone else has at least 3 losses. Hard to see anyone from there going to the playoffs this year.

Texas needed a last second field goal to beat Les Miles's Kansas. Michigan got dominated by Penn State. Wisconsin lost to Lovie Smith's Illinois. Minnesota is now 7-0 and I wonder when the PJ Fleck to Ann Arbor rumors start.

Needing the opponent to drop a pass in the end zone with 2 minutes left to preserve a one score win is a weird definition of “dominated”

Another loss. You sound salty. Are they just going to forfeit to OSU this year?

Ah, sorry, looks like the game tightened significantly late, after I stopped paying attention. But it was all PSU early on and I can't have been the only one to write it off and flip the channel.

I am hoping that Michigan/OSU can somehow be a close game this year because college football badly needs that rivalry to be good again, but there is very little basis for this hope. I'll settle for ANYONE giving OSU a challenge before the playoffs, it's bad for football for them to dominate their conference so much for so long.
