ESPN continues to feature Lee Corso in their pregame show.

It's sad because he's an icon but he's too old and out of it to really offer much beyond a laugh or two. They can't just cut him out but he needs to be phased out to a smaller role or something.

Herbstreit loves him...probably said he wouldn't work for ESPN without him...

It's uncomfortable to watch him

UMD looks a little for-real.

Secondary isn't so great though.

Maryland was always going to be strong on offense this year. 2 NFL RBs, an NFL QB and a lot of young talent at WR, plus an experienced OC. Defensively they've been decent which has been a nice surprise, and on offense they've been damn near perfect.

Also Syracuse easy choice for most overrated team in America entering this year.

Josh Gattis was so busy taking credit for Alabama's success that he forgot to gameplan against Army.

Incredible ending to Army-Michigan.  So close for Army.

The California State Assembly on Monday passed a bill that would allow college athletes to sign endorsement deals. SB 206, the Fair Pay To Play Act, cleared the Assembly by a vote of 72-0. A version of the bill passed the Senate by a similarly decisive vote in May.

The bill, if it becomes law, would go into effect January 1, 2023. Though none of the bill’s provisions involve schools paying athletes directly, it would prohibit schools in California from revoking scholarships or scholarship eligibility from athletes who profit off their own name, image and likeness.

Please let this happen, just seeing the NCAA trying to figure out how to respond would be more entertaining than most college games

Emmertt was like "if you do this california teams won't be allowed to compete in NCAA tournaments" like lol ok you're really gonna push them out?

This wouldn't go into effect until 2023 and I suspect by then the NCAA will have figured out a way to either block this or cave and let players get endorsements in some randomly rigid way

UVA and Maryland are both ranked teams right now, and UVA is a favorite to beat Florida State this Saturday. Bizarre world we live in.

It’s the most populous state; they aren’t getting kicked out. UCLA and USC will have some awesome basketball teams if their players can sign sneaker deals (when it comes to complying with state law or a voluntary association, I’m guessing schools - especially state schools- choose state law)

UVA beat Florida State and it wasn't even on a major network, nobody cared, and it's what gamblers thought would happen. It's not even making the news as an upset. It's not even making the news as a "look how low FSU has sunk" story. FSU is already that far gone.

I can't imagine Taggert is going to be around through the end of this season.
