SMFH... 2-0 Dodgers.  We are letting pathetic Juan Pierre dominate us.

Well Simontacchi hasn't given up a hard line drive yet, but the Dodgers have some well placed bloops and are executing well.

Three pickoffs by Jason this year ... very nicely done - very big considering the error ... hopefully that won't come back to bite the Nats here ...

ok ... good job ... Need for the bats to get going here ... Penny is tough, but he does look hittable ...

Isn't this the SECOND game where Simontacci picked off a runner leading off 2nd base?  QUESTION: Did it rain, or did they wet down the infield so much it turned into mud around 2nd?  I really couldn't believe they wet it down on the last home stand, for games with a 60% chance of rain.

Nationals 0
Dodgers 2

That was close to being a hit for Simontacchi.

He's actually done it three times now ... Jason is getting pretty good at that ... :)

Note to Felipe - 9 pitch at bats are exactly what lead-off hitters should do.

That kind of confirms The Kenz aFan Theory of Baseball Players (that they are all lazy.)  The Dodgers should have known that Simontacci picks runners off 2B, before they took the field, and Juan Pierre should have been more careful.  Simontacci is incredible at that move!

Nice inning for Jason.  I'd really like to see him go 7 innings tonight.

If we're not going to hit Penny then we have to get him out of this game!

That's just what I was thinking.  Hopefully we can crack their bullpen.  Things are not well against Penny.
