NFL 2019
« Topic Start: February 06, 2019, 12:32:14 AM »
Raiders again appear to be homeless again for 2019 as SF 49rs won’t waive territorial rights to allow the Raiders to play at Oracle Park in downtown SF. Levi Stadium and a return to Oakland are still options.

There's talk about them having to go back to the coliseum- would the city even want them at this point (maybe if rent was exorbitant enough). If the chargers can play in Dignity Health Sports Park with a capacity of 27k, I don't see why the raiders can't move now and play at UNLV

I'm not sure why SD isn't an option, or STL

I know it's not possible on any number of levels (travel, division, Ravens, etc.) but I keep thinking   ....  RFK  !!!!   Oh man, I'd be there for a few of the match-ups.

I went to a soccer game at RFK in 2016 and felt like I was at a third-world country, the stadium is an eyesore.  So yeah, it would be appropriate for the Raiders. :)

Greg Schiano is the new Patriots Defensive Coordinator.  I believe 3 of the defensive backs who had significant playing time (the 2 McCourtys and Duron Harmon) played for him at Rutgers.

Watching Memphis and Birmingham in the Alliance. Not terrible quality but nothing special. No kick offs. I don’t miss the kick offs. You get one good return every few games. The rest are useless.

Yeah, I watched a good video by SB Nation's Chart Party that explained why kickoffs are totally pointless and agreed with it wholeheartedly.  They're largely boring and pointless.

It’s actually even worse than pointless since they are the plays far more likely to end up in head and spinal cord injuries.
But if they do away with them someone will complain about the game getting “soft”

Exactly. Philly’s counts more because they beat Marcia and company.
