I always liked JZ.  I was at the no-hitter and saw him last year make a good start in Oakland that had shades of his early career.  Sad to see him struggle for so long, but like another poster said - good that he got paid.

I was a fan as well.     Should have kept him in against the Giants   ....

I was literally yelling "NOOOOOOOOO!" as Standard Decision came out to get him.  His stuff that night was better than the no-hitter (which was the start that immediately preceded it).  I don't think I've ever seen a guy pitch so well in back to back starts.

Watched some of Tanner’s game last night. He had a 4-0 lead. And then 4-2 going into the 4th. Gets the first two batters. Then a walk. Hit by the pitcher. Walk. And then another walk to let in a run. I think he’s a goner from MLB after this year.

Good to see. It took a while, but I always thought he would have been a 4th OF on a contender / 2d division starter. I liked the pop, too, and his defense, while not Taylor level, was at least adequate in 3 positions.

Lucas Giolito went 7.1 IP with 8 strikeouts, 3 hits, and zero runs against the Indians. In the same game, Tyler Clippard pitched a scoreless 8th inning for the Indians.

Has to be one of Giolito's best career games.

Edwin Jackson signed with the Blue Jays. When he pitches, it will be for his 14th MLB team, which is a all-time record.

And that's not counting his second stint here if I'm not mistaken.

He just topped it.  A fine outing tonight by Giolito.

Sean Burnett announces his retirement.  He had been at AAA Syracuse in the Mets system.
