Doug Fister retires at age 35.
I hope he comes back so we can give the hand he deserves.

Clippard to the Indians on a minor league deal.  He could make up to $2.75 million if he makes the squad.

I hope he makes the team so we can see him when the Tribe comes to town.

makes a ton of sense for them to try it.  they've got the bullpen to pick him up if he has one of those 100 pitch, 5 inning outings.  He can give them starts.  32 starts, 180 innings and they'd be golden.

I can't imagine how a headcase like him could possibly handle New York.

Kenny Rogers could be his psychological coach.

I would have felt bad for a good pitcher who just couldn't get it done for a particular team if the team hadn't been that one and if he hadn't signed there voluntarily.

It seems weird that the best he can get is a minor league deal.  He's still a top 50ish starting pitcher in the majors.  You'd think he could be a #3 or 4 on a lot of crappy teams.  Maybe he wanted a last chance on a contender.

I would have thought he'd press Miami for a deal so that he could end his career at home...because his career seems to be over...

I see Keith Law wrote for ESPN today that Giolito is "healthy and has his velocity back." Picks him as a "breakout candidate" for 2019.

You are confusing me posting in the 2018 thread when the 2019 is stickied!
