Hot Stove 2019 Updates
« Topic Start: January 26, 2019, 03:29:33 PM »
I thought I’d give some updates from the hot stove session.

New VP is speaking.

Season plan holder cards will be retired. Replaced with revamped ball park app. Use your phone for ECash. They are revamping ticket management website so you can print directly from the site.

Also issuing a “credential” to identify you as a season plan holder and you can use if you domt have the app. I guess it has a barcode instead of NFC chip. You can use it to pay for stuff and to get into lounge etc. but not to get in park apparently.

Gala moved to March 26th. Cited the poor record the game on the day after. Didn’t someone on here write a post compiling the record after the gala.   :D

They said, “you can put your card away, it will be a nice keepsake.” They won’t be functional this year. To get in the stadium you’ll need the app or to print ticket out at home.

Martinez is an idiot. He inspires zero confidence. When Rizzo introduced him like 2 people clapped.
He’s said “fundamentals” at least 15 times. “Play the game the right way” 10 times.

Martinez and Rizzo both day that Difonand Taylor are talented but need to hit more. Davey continues to carp on Difo not being a home run hitter.

Says Taylor and Robles will compete for Job and both will play a lot.

I cross posted Bluestreak's comment into the Fire Martinez thread and adjusted the title.

That's what I'm seeing here and on Twitter, no more cards. Fine with me, I do everything on my phone. I'm not wearing a Nats Plus lanyard though.

Also, Zero mention of Bryce Harper, not even from the audience (the questions were curated ahead of time...Patti got to ask 2).

I just don't want to get too many single vendor apps for my phone.

I just saw that the 20% SPH discount at the team stores has been changed to 20% eCash credit. Not much diffence if you are going to spend it anyway but I'd guess there will be unused balances lost at year end.

Ah, that must have changed, used to be cash loaded from our credit cards carried over but not eCash.

Is there a difference?  My ecash balance is built on what I paid on my credit card.

My memory on this is a few years out of date. I thought that there was a difference because I remember at one point having to spend money at the team store before year end, but that was a while back.

If I'm not mistaken, it's only RCR points that expired at year's end.  Your ecash rolls over...

This is from five years ago, so it is not necessarily still relevant:

Does ECash expire at the end of the season ?  Can you use it on Christmas gifts ?
I think I read somewhere it's good until Dec. 31 but don't hold me to that.

My ecash was carried over from 2017 to 2018.

How could they fit those two huge egos in that small car?

Man, I'm glad I looked at the video before I read your remark.

F.P. was driving, so he couldn't gesticulate in Rizzo's direction. Good approach.
