last I think you posted, she had disappeared. Nice to see her ok.

I did a search of the forum. That was last February. For some reason she didn't show up for a few days and then didn't eat much when she returned. Maybe she just felt sick. Things have been normal since then—she's still afraid of any human contact and is quite deserving of the name Fraidy.

When time passes for you, can you give it to a family member ?

I'm at the age where I'm thinking about a snow blower.    However, I'm not sure we get enough snow for the investment.

I'll get a snow blower as soon as the kids are out the door. :)

1st pass of the day complete.

Cleaned both cars, again  ...  went for a ride  ....  main roads in E. Loudoun are fine  ....   side streets, not so much  ....    came home and we cleaned the drain in the street so the water (melted snow) will clear.

Find a used Toro 721 (single stage, cleans down the the pavement, you'll need to take two passes during a really big storm).

Took a hard slip/fall and did a number on my back last year when I just kept shoveling. The wife suggested it this year. The driveway is about 200' (it's got a loop in it).

Neighbors keep talkin' about a "community" (townhouses; cul-de-sac) blower.     I'm waitin'.     :)

We have one of those- neighbor has a blower, the community gives him beer to help clear things when the snow gets bad (and anyother time there’s a snow day party)

We have a neighbor like that as well but he only helps a few.    He's tight on the usage.    We (the rest of us) usually shovel en masse to clear the neighbor hood.    We all help each other out.

my next door neighbor for the last five years was from Wisconsin so he arrived with a massive snowblower and would clear all the lots just because he liked doing so, we'd usually drop off a six pack as a gesture of thanks afterwards.  He moved last year.   :(

I did get lucky yesterday, as I was starting to clear the driveway a plow arrived to clear the cul-de-sac, I looked up and saw him pulling into my driveway, he used the plow blade to clear it for me.  I thought about throwing a beer to him but figured that might not go over so well. :)

models are now all over the place for next weekend, anywhere from a massive ice storm, to a mix, to heavy rain with temps in the 50s.

(Image removed from quote.)

I cross-posted that on another forum and someone there asked a good question: Since that's a European model, are those numbers inches or cm? If the latter, while it's still a good bit of snow, it would be less crazy because 31 cm is just over 12 inches.

Hmmm, that's a pretty good question.    Seems like a lot of snow over a wide area if it's in inches.

I tried that site earlier.    They won't let me continue when Adblocker is on.    I guess Adblocker is more important to me.    I know I have my shovels at the ready either way.

looks like 1-2" clipper type storm Thursday, then mostly rain this weekend followed by a hard freeze on Monday with temps in the teens.
