Havlicek played on one of my favorite college teams:

Jerry Lucas,  Larry Siegfried,  John Havlicek,  Bob Knight, et. al.    "Hondo" was also a solid football player who Woody Hayes recruited and the Cleveland Browns drafted.

I have a ticket stub from March 21, 1978 with Havlicek's autograph.    It was his last appearance in the Capital Centre as a Celtic.

Yep.  The other Hondo.

I meant the guy in the Hall of Fame.        :couch:

that's awesome.  Shows surprisingly good judgment from you given it was the 70s.

 :pimp:

I remember the game being billed as his last regular season "appearance" in DC with the Celtics.    Co-worker at my day job worked with the team/locker room and after the game, I asked if he could get Havlicek to sign the stub (btw it was pretty close to the action; Section 114; Row DD; Seat 6  ...    $9 ).

Notice:   May be a repeat story.

Known most for Boyz N the Hood, John Singleton was soooo talented and directed tons of great tv shows these past few years.  Only 51, RIP :(

I had to google him too.    I heard of "Boyz in the Hood" but didn't know how he fit in.

chewbacca.

Chewbacca won the MTV Movie Awards Lifetime Achievement Award a long time ago (before they retired that award.)

I saw Chewbacca in Trader Vic's... and his hair was PERFECT!

I was older and thought it was a pretty good show.    Might have been because of inhalin' graphite, etc. all day long.    :)
