Havlicek was the man when I started following the Celtics. Once he moved into the starting lineup, he was consistently one of the top scorers in the NBA. Also played on a great Ohio State team that won one national championship but then could not quite get by Oscar and Cincinatti the next 2 years.
I don't know whose game is like Havlicek today. He'd have flourished as a wing / 2 guard in current offenses with his outside shooting, ability to run, and quickness for perimeter defense. He played a lot at small forward and never was a rebounding presence (didn't have to with Russell then Cowens, Heinsohn / Nelson / Silas, etc...), and usually played with a playmaker.
