Sad. Just 49.
Outliving your kids has got to be a nightmare.
Carol Channing, age 97. Still performing on stage regularly well into her 80’s.
Not sure why but I was never a fan. I think it may be because she was a regular on the Ed Sullivan show. My Grandmother used to make us watch Ed Sullivan when we visited her house. All the older adults (Grandfather and sons) were in the dining room playing penny ante poker in a smoke cloud sippin' beer and Four Roses.
You could write hard boiled fiction.

I was gonna quit postin'. EDIT: Googled the author. Might have to pick up one of his books. Two questions: 1) Are they set in DC neighborhoods? 2) If so, can you recommend one?
Yes, they're set in DC. It's been so long since I've read them that I'd have a hard time recommending one. I'd start with the first of any series. Hang on. Let me look at my kindle history.
Try Right as Rain.

I salute you sir.
Ever read the story of Ross Perot's rescue of his employees in Iran?
No. He kinda fell out of favor with me.
