Try it Ali - it will change your view of cauliflower

Aside from the cauliflower that sounds great  :P

It's basically 1 good size head of cauliflower.  2.5 lbs is not alot.  I served 2 of these for 8 people.  There were no leftovers.

Is it just me, but does 2.5 pounds of cauliflower seem like a lot?

Roast cauliflower with enough garlic and a decent amount of Parmesan and it’s almost mediocre food

What is this not true about?

Soak it overnight in whiskey before and it becomes a delicacy.

Why waste perfectly good whiskey on cauliflower?

I actually don't mind cauliflower.  Don't love it, but don't mind it.  I usually just eat it raw in a salad or steamed with broccoli.

That being said, the Main Event tonight was jambalaya.  Took a bit of time and effort, but the bumpy road led to a beautiful place.

Giardiniera and roasted with onions and sweet curry that’s about it. Doesn’t have much flavor and it’s texture blows. The ex used to do an au gratin version that was okay but what a waste of cheese.

I made tempeh from scratch. It’s quite good.

We’re in Viera and we had dinner at Slow & Low Barbecue up the street from the ballpark. Dessert: Deep-fried bread pudding made with cinnamon bread and topped with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. No way should I have eaten that, but man was it ever good.

Late 2020, MoCo Mall.  I ate at the location near Boston College where my Dad used to live and thought that one was an excellent chain location.  I didn't particularly like the one in Yonkers that I had previously tried.  I was told that they have developed a better training program as they expanded.   I had been hoping for them to go into some of the new  construction around CC, but this gives me an excuse to go to Maryland.

Do you have to buy starter, or does all that fungus happen by itself?  (I cannot get used to the taste of tempeh.)

Anyone ever had brunch at Le Diplomate? If so, what’s good? A relative is here from out of town and asked to go there.

Duck Sarladaise. Just do it.
Both of the Omelettes are great, as is the baked eggs. if you're sticking to breakfast food.

The burger is probably the best in town.
The escargot are the best thing on the menu. They are fantastic.

So I got an email from Dunkin yesterday recapping my DD Perks loyalty record this year.  My spending earned me 38 free beverages.  I accrued close to 7800 points (basic rule is 5 points to the dollar, but a good chunk of the points were earned on 2 or 3 to one offers when they introduced new sandwiches or other promos).  I visited Dunkins on 250 days in 2019.  I went to the one in the Crystal City underground 104 times.  I can see the CC one since I go there for ice tea on weekends ($1.29 for a large) - 52 weeks, a Saturday and a Sunday, piles up most of those, then there are an occasional holiday or day off when I may stop by.

probably not one with a working engine or a/c, but an old Galaxie 500 would work.

I thought the Crystal City Sports Pub was your favorite beverage place
