I thought Cioppino was local to SF, but yeah, it makes sense that it, like everything else we consider to be 'American' food would have its roots elsewhere.
you are 100% correct and I am wrong. Originated SF, Italian-American, kind of scraps of the catch.  But

Quote
Similar dishes can be found in coastal regions throughout the Mediterranean, from Portugal to Greece. Examples of these include suquet de peix from Catalan-speaking regions and bouillabaisse from Provence

I don't think they will be but there's nothing posted yet.     Never mentioned if they were closed for the holiday.

What makes you think Republicans hang out in Asheville ?  Asheville is as much a center of modern hippy as anywhere

Hanging out with some well off republicans has its benefits, eh?

They go there on safari.  To watch barefoot white guys with natty dreds kicking hackey sacks around and playing digaderoos.  Don't need a passport.

No matter where you're goin' or how you're gettin' there.    Whether you're eatin' your dinner brined or burnt.    Happy Thanksgiving   !!!

I’m running a Turkey Trot 5k in Hagerstown tomorrow morning. Sounds like it might be a tad nippy.
