He's saying that both Harper and Machado will likely end up making $33MM next year...not combined.

that makes more sense.  Thanks

He’s a good ball player but are the Mets trying to field a senior league team?

They finally heard the Nats are beatable after all thanks to Storen and are trying to win the 2012 NL East.

2 years 24 million. That’s a lot less than I thought he’d go for. Hell maybe the Nats should have gotten him. Also have to assume the Yankees are out on Machado.

Player A: .264   .311   .362
Player B: .250   .310   .358

Guess which one is Wilmer Difo, and which one is DJ LeMahieu away from Coors Field?  Would you pay $12 million a year for that?

12 million is expensive for a super utility guy.

Assuming Didi is back at the all star break, that seems a lot to pay for a back up MI. I guess they could move Gleyber to 3d and Andujar to OF, 1b, or in a trade.

Reports are that the Yankees see him as a super utility guy.

Dodgers acquire Russell Martin from Blue Jays for prospects. Marlins are going to end up stuck with Realmuto.

Martin was a good contributor for the Bucs.    He's a nice pick up for low level propects.

Overplayed their hand like crazy and going to end up taking a crap return. Love it.

Just because someone comes back doesn't they're back at 100% and are back in the groove.

And the icing on the cake for the cursed yanks would be the addition of Machado or Bryce.

How many teams were scared off thinking it was going to take 10/400 to sign Bryce? But now they see that neither he nor Machado are getting that mega contract so some unexpected team gets in the game with something more realistic that no one anticipated??

Looks like Sonny Gray to the Reds.  Reds could have a half decent team this year with the moves they are making.
