Boras...he's trying to save his reputation. The Nats offered $300MM/10 year deal and he rejected it...the Nats pulled it back, and now he can't best that. He's overplayed his hand and is running around like a cat on a marble floor looking for a place to crap.
I can’t wait for Harper to come back to the Nats so all you haterz can eat a dick. Edit: I still think it’s the Dodgers even though the poll doesn’t include them....
I don't think anybody "hates" him or Boras. Just too old a cat to be freaked by a kitten.

Right there, Minty. Learn from that old geezer mitlen.
Harper will get his money. People fantasize about Boras getting his comeuppance are exhibiting wishful thinking. If Hosmer got what he did last summer, Bryce is getting paid. It takes only one sucker.
Well said.
I just hope the Nats aren't that sucker.#signrendon
This thread is getting more entertaining by the minute. Saving face is what this situation is all about. I afraid that 10/$300mm is still on the table, and Harper is going to take it. No shame there. The Phillies can get Machado for much less. And they deserve each other.
Are you up for a wager...to benefit charity, of course?
If you were bettin' a beer, I'd take the opposite stance just for the possibility of gettin' a free beer.
You're on!
Hope you've got some PBR on hand...
mitlen and I are Vienna Lager men...
Are you up for a wager...to benefit charity, of course?I'm willing to bet that Harper doesn't get better than a $300 MM/10 Year deal...Just to be clear...he has to sign for more than $300MM and for 10 years or more...
Let’s make it Two beers. And just a total value of $300 million. If he signs for less years that’s a win for him.
