I can't help but think that Boras has overplayed his hand and his bluff is gonna be called...
But he has the Lerners in his pocket playing pocket pool so they may bail him out and give Harper a senseless deal.
Mark Lerner is basically saying on 106.7 right now that Bryce is gone and they aint going over their offer.
Can't listen to that station up here. What exactly did he say? Did he imply that the initial 10/300 was still on the table but no more or what?
WJFK usually serves up segments later in the day on their website. You may be able to hear the interview this evening.https://thefandc.radio.com/shows/grant-danny
@Jonwarnerwtop“#Nationals owner Mark Lerner on MASN about Bryce Harper: We really haven’t had any communication with him. since he left. We’ll find out when everyone else finds out I guess.”

Extend Ryan Zimmerman! That's freaking insane. Who wrote that, hammondsnats?
The idea behind extending him would be to lower his annual average, thus giving the team a little more space to work under the luxury tax threshold.
I understand that part but the Nats need to move on from juice boy as soon as possible. Keeping him around for 3 more years is freaking dumb.
Tune in to ESPN for "The Decision Part 2"I remember when Lebron James announced he was taking his talents to South Beach ESPN kept running video of cavaliers fans and there was that chick crying. That's going to be skippy this time around.
Nationals owner Mark Lerner said in an interview on 106.7 FM The Fan on Friday of Bryce Harper that "I really don't expect him to come back at this point."Lerner said that when the team made Harper the reported 10-year, $300 million offer on the last day of the regular season, "we told them, 'This is the best we can do.'" He added that that offer "very well may be" off the table at this point after the additions they've made since then and ones they still plan to make. General manager Mike Rizzo indicated earlier Friday that the Patrick Corbin signing didn't necessarily rule the club out for re-signing Harper, but the writing is on the wall at this point.
