we're freaked if the Nats can't win until all the split loyalty trash goes back to their team (don't forget that VaRK went back to the blackhawks and a year later the Caps won it all :lmao:)

hopefully nashville gets an MLB team so i can start NBFF (nashville baseball fan forum) and leave you losers behind. first post would be a 2,000 word essay on dmitri young's smile and the politics section will be just an RSS reader of MSNBC.com :whip:

Angels
Scott Boras will likely talk about Harper going to many clubs without including the club he is actually  trying to drive the price up on.

It WILL BE .................... the Angels.

Too too bad so so sad.  :(

Harper would enjoy playing in that stadium. His preference will probably be a hitter's park that will help him accumulate big offensive numbers.

I’m not sure he’d love it if he was slumping

Climate isn't everything - the idea of being involved in our country's issues is very appealing - even to an athlete

I love when the media just makes up stuff like that.

According to our WNFF poll, it's slightly more than 50% that he will return.  Our poll has more credibility than Russell just grasping.

While I think he is too expensive for the Nats to keep, I expect Harper to have a long and successful career. The worst result would be if he went up the road to Philadelphia and kept jacking homers in Nats Park a few times a year.

Thus, I fully expect to see him as a Philly next season.

What concerns me about the results from our poll is if we re-sign Harper what will we do about Rendon. I believe the consensus on the site is we can't afford both .

They both have the same scientific credibility!

Give me a break. Maybe Eric Reid might fit your description. 99% of athletes understandably RUN from politics. Don't want to hurt their "brand."

And, while climate is a big part of the SoCal lifestyle, it's attractiveness -- despite the fires, mudslides and occasional earthquakes - goes well beyond the great weather. I would have also said traffic but the DMV has nothing on OC when it comes to traffic snarls (situation is equal but SoCal has no potholes to throw the alignment on your Maserati out of whack).

I'll go with Cubs too. Big city, pristine franchise, and its not an NL East rival(I do think Harper cares enough to not completely piss off D.C. and its fans, he wants to maintain his brand here too).

Let him go to Philadelphia.  It will mean financial ruin for them (instead of us).

I'm starting to think he's gone.  My heart says that the Lerner's don't want to go.  My head says that if we really wanted to keep him, we would have locked him up last off-season.

Talking to a friend (Cubs fan) he doesn't see how the Cubs or any of his potential suitors would afford him or even target him as a signing. He felt it made most sense for him to stay in DC for $20-25 million a year. I don't know. I think there's a chance he comes back and don't think there was ever a real scenario where we lock him up last winter. Boras wouldn't sacrifice a potential MVP hitting the open market.

I mean if his client told him to he would, didn't Jered Weaver forego free agency and sign back with the Angels?

If the Yankees loose tonight, I think there's a good chance he's in pinstripes next year
