Thom Loverro is down in West Palm this week.  Yesterday on Kevin Sheehan's podcast he said the most remarkable thing about Bryce's absence this year is that it is so UNnoticeable.  He said last year with Werth gone you could just feel the void when the team showed up - it was obvious something was missing from previous year.  This year however, the team appears to not be looking back. 

I thought that was an interesting perspective.

Just saying if one wishes to be the foundation of a franchise, he needs to set the example. I remember WNFF and Natsland in general saying "How can they bench Turner but not Harper". I made Dave and everyone in charge look weak. You can't bench Turner for it, trade Kelley for it, and then go Harper gonna Harper. A united team that does not make.

That doesn’t make it right and it doesn’t mean it has no effect on chemistry. Stars usually produce at a level that compensates for those considerations. It’s when they don’t that it becomes a problem. Antonio Brown being a diva is fine when you are in the playoffs, but when you don’t its a reason to ship him out.

I have no real idea, but I imagine there are some in the clubhouse who think his production hasn’t warranted the hype or the treatment.

He wasn’t even the best player in his own locker room. He’s good, but not great. Maybe you live on a higher plane than the rest of us, but most folks get annoyed when someone at work gets the spotlight and doesn’t pull the corresponding weight. Makes them human, I suppose.
