You certainly could be right.
So looking back over Nightengal's article...
It makes mention of Lerner meeting with Bryce Dec 22nd. At the same time, he writes that the Nationals haven't "engaged" with Harper in nearly a month.
So nearly a month I guess could be 19-20 days if you want to make it so.
Here is Bob's math.
1. The only teams in on Harper are Nationals, Phillies, White Sox, Dodgers, Cubs.
2. White Sox won't give Harper desired years.
3. Dodgers won't give Harper desired Years
4. Cubs can't make the deal right now
5. Nationals won't go beyond $25 Million a year
1+2+3+4+5= Phillies
I want Bob to be right, I really do. But I don't think he is. Whether Harper does sign with Phillies, I don't think Bob's information on this is correct.
