So now the Nats front office are saying they're a long shot to sign Harper. I don't see how they could possibly sign Harper to a 10 year contract. If Soto keeps the way he did as a rookie, they sign Rendon to a long term, keep Turner, not to mention Robles during that 10 year window they wouldn't have any money for pitchers.
Four more years of team control on Turner, the jury is out on how much he'll be worth beyond that. Rendon is the guy to extend.
