Turner played all 162 games and leads the majors in at bats. Also tied with Story for highest WAR among NL shortstops. He leads all major league players in stolen bases.

He’s a 5 win player approaching his prime.

Very exciting!

Impressive being right there with Story. Didnt he finish with 35 HRs?

Was really hoping Trea would've gotten that 20th HR to go with all of those SBs.

I admit I was probably too enamored by the .900+ OPS back in 2016. He isn't a superstar, but he is a top third of the league shortstop and there is a lot of value there, especially when he plays every day. Pretty versatile in the lineup as well. Can hit top of the order but has enough power to justify hitting #5 or #6 some nights.

Once he's done with arbitration it's going to be interesting to see what the Nats do, given Luis Rodriguez looks like he may be able to step into the SS role in  2-3 years.  I assume Kieboom gets moved to 2B next year.

Whit Merrifield is relatively old and starting to get expensive.  Fangraphs speculated that KC should deal him back at the All Star break.  That could be where Garcia goes if there's a deal to be made.  Fixes the 2B problem and, just wow to have Turner, Merrifield, and Robles on one team.

Am I the only one who is a little disappointed in Trea Turner's first complete season? Batting average and slugging went down. He got on base a lot more, but stole fewer bases than last season, and stole them at a slightly worse rate.

I know it's his first full season, but I was hoping for more
