This team should consider a new name...something more appropriate....like 'The Washington Squanderers'....because they squandered a lot of talent (on paper) and a lot of the 'talent' squandered opportunities....mostly by their constant focus on the home run instead of playing small ball with certain contact hitters and speedsters....they are not alone, as most teams rely too heavily on the tater instead of getting hits and moving runners along, etc...poor Scherzer had several losses thanks to the inability of this team to get its home-run motivated head out of its behind...almost amazing they were slightly over .500....oh well....
