Tuned in just in time (my schedule shows a 7:10 start) to see a base path blunder.  Looks to be a long day of drinking ahead :smh:

It's not a technicality, AJ...it's the rules...

I think he’s right in that instance. When you can’t even distinguish whether he’s on or off the base even with slo-mo then the use of high tech gear is putting too fine a point on the game.

He's disputing the rule that you have to stay on the base.  That has always been a rule.  If there was no technology, the call would stand regardless...though we could enjoy some Earl Weaver moments if that were the case.

And BTW, even before all this, if you came off the bag and the fielder put the tag on, the runner was called out

I kind of miss Weaver, Pinella, Martin, Anderson, etc.

I’m surprised people still watch a couple of palookas bash each others brains in. Eventually boxing and football will fall by the wayside like bullfighting.

I wish the voting was today so we didn't have to listen to FP drone on and on about Soto and Scherzer for the rest of the season...

Fortunately for me, I stocked up earlier in the week when Florence was looking to make a bigger impact here.

I know all about coming off the base. I *think* what he was getting at and am in agreement with is we’re to the point where we need a spark plug gap measurement tool to see if he maintained contact with the base.

Those 1:00 starts can be a real nag  ;)  Hard to believe the Skins are a 6 point favorite.
