He’s basically Denard Span if Denard Span sucked at defense.

It was nice of Kolko to report that Strasburg is a puss like we all already knew. "Still getting used to", lol. He's been here for 8 years.

:idiot:

Since August 1st Eaton has reached base in all but 5 of the games he has started.

That's not actually tremendously impressive.  He's started 27 times in that span.  Getting on base once in 22 of those 27 games doesn't impress me much given that he's averaging almost 4.75 PAs per start.  His OBP over that period is .351.  Good, overall, but not awesome for a leadoff hitter.  As much as I disagree with his hyperbole, Air Desmond's comparison of Span with bad defense (or, these days, the only Span you've got) is actually pretty close.

The problem is that he's actually not wrong for a change.

Except he is because Eaton is a better hitter. Hes like Span, if Span OPS'd over 50 points less.

And Span wasnt a good defender in CF when he was here

This looks like one of those shutout nights.

Davey is gone at the end of the year.

Span wasn’t a good CF when he was here? Now I’ve heard it all.

Span and Eaton are the exact same player this year. Look at the numbers.

There’s that light hitting Eaton. What a spark he is. Killed that ball to CF.
