Not like it broke out of the strike zone. It was a ball as soon as it left his hand

You can write the script to just about every one of their games

If our offense hadn't quite strangled all hope of Scherzer's Cy Young, today aught to take care of it.  Good job guys.

He really doesn't need a lot of help...

I imagine it’s easy seeing pitches from the couch...

It’s unbelievably easy on 1080p.  :mg:

El de with the sombrero. Sadly he still can go for the gold.

Hard to argue, since they normally play like they have a sliver spoon in their mouth.
Sounds funny, but I don't want Scherzer to win the CY, nor Soto the RotY. I want them both to play next season with a chip on their shoulder. actually, I want everyone to play with a chip on their shoulder next season.

But El de isn't sitting on a couch and you expect him to see the pitch location?

Sadly I expect what we’ve been getting from him all day. I miss Murphy.

We walk 7 guys, you better believe the opposing team scores 9 runs.  What a pathetic sack of useless wet garbage this team is.

I've heard there is no such thing as "clutch-iness," but I wonder. Are certain hitters better able to keep their cool in tough situations? Sounds to me like that's a thing.

I'm not saying Rendon didn't in that situation - he hit the ball squarely. But with 10 or 11 left on base, you have to wonder why we can't get a couple more across.

WNFF is the wrong place to ask that question, none of us have any idea what that word means.

Rendon and Soto watch the previous 2 batters get walked and they hack at the first pitch they see. Wtf?

It's not a huge run.  It's difference between beating the Nats 3-1 or 4-1.  I doubt they care.

Yeah. I guess what I was trying to say is there are clutch hitters.

He is what he is at this point. But it's good to see if maybe he can be developed.

Although clutchness has never been demonstrated to be a repeatable skill.
