I’ve always thought Martinez had a soft spot for Suero. Seeing in writing that he truly wanted to give him 9th inning time is proof.

I feel like Rizzo sent him down to save Martinez from himself.

suero has a terrific cutter, but that can't be all you can throw. Even Mariano had the threat of other pitches.  Working in Rochester is fine.  At least he will not be booed by the home crowd when his name is called.

Let him rot in Rochester.  Bring him up just for Wander Suero Bobblehead Day in 2022.  Wander Suero Bobblehead Day won't be scheduled or promoted, but it will be an impromptu game day call when it's cold and rainy before the game.

Non-tender seems almost certain if he doesn't get DFA before then.  There's no way they're offering arbitration, which requires tendering a major league contract, to a 30-year-old with an ERA of 7.
