He will be back unless they can sign Girardi.

I almost feel like it'd look better if they did fire Davey now, it wouldn't look like the standard "your two years are up" move but more a "we made a big mistake" move.  I don't think he is the sole reason we're so bad but given the expectations and talent on this team it's ludicrous our record is this bad.

I gave up on the fire Davey movement a couple months ago. This is our guy. Rizzo has no intentions of firing him. He’ll get another year to prove himself.

Right? Never in a million years did I think it'd be mid-August and our season would effectively be over :(

Prove what? That he is capable of doing an even worse job next year? :hysterical:

I was at dinner during the game but followed it on my phone. Rough loss.

The Nats need to get out of this funk, which definitely started after that Cubs walk-off earlier this week. Let's hope they get their groove back with some pick-up wins against Miami at home.

Well, with a lot of WNFF'ers despondent, disheartened and disappointed may I share with you an alternative to watching the Nats' lose another game. I have been watching re-runs of Law and Order and Law and Order : SVU instead. To the uninitiated the show deals with sexual assault , murder and child abuse. Much more uplifting than watching the Nats lose another gut wrenching game . NANF
