he put a chancy fielder out there.  The fielder got a chance.  what resulted wasn't unlikely.
Murphy has been one of the hottest hitters.  Should he bench him?

When a 2-10 starter that is one of the worst on his bottom ten teams in the league one hits the nats it just tells you how screwed up this team is

Not that it's all Davey's fault but perhaps keeping Dusty around would have been the right move if for no other reason than this team seems to need a shrink and a babysitter in the dugout more than a good strategic tactician.

Did you see how the fans were at the home
Run derby . Pretty damn loyal to a player that is leaving

Sure. We are too loyal  :hysterical:

Harper is way more loyal to Nats fans then they are to him.

What does this mean?

I honestly believe Royce played a big part in Rusty being shown the door...

nah, there's a trade off and probably needed to be in. But it was a manager's decision.  He owns it both ways.

First 2 batters got fastballs right down the middle on the first pitch and watched. Come on Soto.

AUGUST, 2019: "The Nationals are 5 games under .500, and with few prospects in the system, they look to be facing mediocrity for the next few years as Scherzer ages. Perhaps they should have sold off assets in July 2018 rather than standing pat and finishing under .500."

Ray Knight has been biting his tongue all season after bad losses, wonder if the last 2 games sets him off today.

That's one game. A lot of us lived through season after season of losing baseball. We've seen it. Why pretend that this team is closing in on Philadelphia?

These are the same players who won 95 games last season and the season before, and competed with the Mets until the middle of September the season before, and won the NL East in 2014. The results say that this team has played badly. This is a .500 team, and maybe worse than the 2011 team because this team had better players.

Oh please. Don’t give me that crap. There are a ton of people on these boards that hoped to lose to get rid of players and coaches.

He’s not happy but all in all he’s pretty sedate.
