It's been a whole lot better than that 13-0 affair in the first game.

It's strange seeing people visibly suffering from heatstroke at 10pm in Europe

Did I read somewhere that this is literally the hottest it’s ever been in France? I was watching on the plane. They scared me at the end, but overall good effort.

Rapinoe, Alex Morgan, and Ellen White (Eng) are tied for the Golden Boot at 5.  So, decent chance the winner will depend on which team advances from the semi

Scads of Americans in France in July...any one of them could be a Mata Hari with a Barnard hoodie

Rapinoe on the bench...seems odd, I don't recall her having any yellow cards.

Don’t yellow cards reset after the quarterfinals anyway?

I think you're right.  All the more odd then.  England are probably the best of the rest, why sit your best player.

Prior to this tournament no one would have said she’s their best player. She was the best against Spain because she got to take the Pks- she certainly didn’t look the best in the field that game.

She scored clutch goals in important games (Morgan scored a shopping cart full of them in a laugher against Thailand)

She’s also slow as hell and can’t get to balls that aren’t played right to her
