As bad as Tanner is, it's once again the offense that came up small.  Four runs should not be an insurmountable lead when you supposedly have so many top hitters.

We had our chances.

Once again the offense is asleep.

Tanner isn’t the reason we lost. And that... is a big freaking problem.

And we've had the gripe that they can't consistently drive in runs for years (overlapping 3 batting coaches but with some of the same culprits).

It was a gripe in prior years but I know at least last year they were near the top of the league in offense; this year they are near the bottom.

Nats were robbed of a run in the 3rd inning. Syndergaard clearly balked. Eaton called for time, but the umpire never signaled for it. 100% balk. Difo should’ve been awarded 3b and scored on Soto’s single.

Davey is asleep at the wheel. How do you not come out of the dugout and argue?
