Max needs that one-pitch out. Still, the taxed bullpen is gonna have to go at least three innings tonight.

Glad I stayed home. Don’t need to sit in 100 degree heat for this debacle.

It's gotten to the point where I don't look forward to games anymore. It's sad but it's seems like crappy performances night after night. Hopefully things change soon.

Scraps

Here's your answer:

What's in a name? When Mookie Betts was first promoted to the majors, his rapid rise through the Boston Red Sox farm system was only part of his intrigue. His unique name was another part. And while many Red Sox fans feared Betts was named after Mookie Wilson, whose ground ball through the legs of Bill Buckner in the 1986 World Series still haunts a nation of fans, that's not the case. Betts' mother Diana Benedict has a sister named Cookie. Cookie named her son partly after Benedict. So when Benedict was naming her son, she wanted to include her own name, Mookie's father's name and an ode to her sister. Their solution: Markus Lynn Betts, nickname Mookie.

Benedict, a basketball fan, also liked the play of Mookie Blaylock, a guard for the Atlanta Hawks that year, so the name stuck.

It wasn't until after they chose Markus Lynn that they realized his initials would be MLB.

Super Bowl replay is on NFL Network. For Skippy that is.

FS 2 showing the Brazil Mexico game. Belgium and Japan comes on at 10.

Yep. They're only allowed to have one hot hitter at any given time. Soto's turn was up.

Why do they think we need to watch Rendon's homer again and again?

I like coming to the ballpark, but one thing I hate about DC is that the park gets overrun with other teams’ fans. Notice I am not saying DC fans are bad. But the demographics of the area mean that every team has a fan base here. Nothing to do, just an observation

More idiotic stats. Wilmer continues his outstanding hitting at home.
