I propose a 30 day avatar bet - I say .280, you say .180.  With .230 being the midpoint, if Murphy hits below .230 the rest of the season, you get to pick my avatar for a month.  He hits above 230, I pick yours.  To sweeten the pot, if he hits exactly .230, you win.

Deal?

( I can't believe I'm doing one of those dumbass Spider bets, what the F am I thinking?)

Not interested.  I love Murphy.  I want him to hit .380.  I have no interest in betting against him.

I'd win that easily, he's still rusty but will hit better.

On another topic, FP is so full of it.  While Tanner had a solid game, I sincerely doubt that if a pitcher gives up 2 runs in 6 innings, he wins 90% of the time.  There are still 3 innings to go after all.  I don't have the energy to look it up, but I bet 60-70% is closer to the right range.

you've been killing Roark over his weight tonight
Yeah enough is enough. Can’t to go to camp fat then expect to lose weight while keeping your strength  during the regular season.

But a nice effort tonight!!!

If it was 2 runs over a complete game then yeah but what FP said is just asinine.

Exactly.  Speak before thinking is what happened there.  He was probably just giddy that Tanner didn't give up 5.

That would be an ERA of 3.00. Do pitchers win 9 of 10 whenever they have a 3.00 ERA season? Nope.

Turner's arm has been the most surprising them about him as a major leaguer. He can make that strong throw from the hole easily. There were doubts about his arm from scouts and I was not impressed with it at first.
Agreed, but I still hate the unnecessary jump throws.

His range seems surprisingly bad for a speedster though.

Nope.  Nor do they pitch 9 innings at that level of ERA, it drops off each time through the lineup.

Buyers or sellers approaching the deadline? Time to think of the future.
