Fire Dave for putting Roark in there.

Fire him for any number of things. If he would just concentrate on managing instead of trying to draw attention to himself the team would be much better off and would be in first place.
Roark has proven he is not a reliever. Suero is a reliever and was up in the bullpen in the 8th inning. He hasn't thrown since Thursday when he threw 20 pitches. Plenty of rest. Roark threw 98 on Thursday.
With the way he micromanages the bullpen you better prepare yourself for 4 hour games in September.
Good managers only need a 7 man bullpen and yet 8 isn't enough for Martinez.

* Too many times he has needed a pinch runner but didn't have one because of the 8 man bullpen. The Nats wouldn't have been any worse off if Wieters was running. Soto looks like a 19 year old DH.

I get it, but he is a reliever and is used to being a reliever. He also has a 2.70 ERA. Not that bad.

Geeeeesh! Soto better hit his tail off if we have to take on such poor outfield play. Every ball hit his way is a breathtaking event to watch.  :nervous:
Soto also runs on his heels toward  fly balls which creates a visual bouncing  affect. He needs to be taught  to run more on the front part of his feet which will lessen the bouncing for a more steady view. OMG he is scary out there. Went to see Soto play several times before he was called up and don’t remember seeing him look so poorly defensively. It’s no secret anymore.

Go Naaaaaats!
