« on: June 01, 2018, 07:51:01 pm »
All-Star Balloting opens today. You can vote 5 times a day total of 35 times. Make sure to uncheck the boxes so you don’t get a bunch of Spam from Camping World.

https://www.mlb.com/all-star/ballot

Nats on the ballot

1B Ryan Zimmerman
2B Daniel Murphy
3B Anthony Rendon
SS Trea Turner
C Matt Wieters
OF Matt Adams
OF Bryce Harper
OF Michael A. Taylor

Vote Early, Vote Often

My predictions are that Turner and Harper will Be votes starters and Max will be the starting pitcher.

Max is a lock. Harper too.  Doolittle. Home team discount may get us turner and Rendon. Maybe Soto?

I was just thinking starters. But if we are talking reserves I think Doolittle, Gio  and Rendon make it as well.

He’d have to beat out Bryant and Arenado in the voting.

It's uphill but I think he's one of the best in the NL.

Has the Nationals Wikipedia page been updated to show that Freddie Freeman owns them?

Agreed but Harper will make it on his name and that’s fine by me, it’d be a damn shame to have the ASG in DC and not have Bryce in it.

1st in OBP, 2nd in Batting Average, 1st (by a lot) in stolen bases, 5th in RBI, 5th in HR. He’s first in WAR for his combo of Speed and hitting

Used to be that shortstops were judged by their defense...

I believe WAR includes defense?

That's because they all hit like .220 without any power.

Harper is not worthy. He is a selfish  player who cares not for his low batting average  so long as he hits home runs. The only race he is interested in this season is the one to the bank full.of what is to him already just monopoly  money.

WAR does include defense. Right now Turner is the best shortstop in the NL. To all the folks who say he doesn’t “feel” like an All- Star, who should represent the NL, since they have to have 2? Corey Seager is out for the year, mind you.

If he were in the AL I would agree. He’s like 6th or 7th. But he doesn’t play in the AL.
