Well...apparently my pop culture is off...I thought Gomer was the clueless one?

If not...POTY for most inept reference.

Too funny.

Heh - you're correct. Gomer is the clueless one. Just weird phrasing on your part to say that in comparison to all the stupid posts, this place makes you look like Gomer.  Probably would have been better to say something like, 'Now I may not be a rocket surgeon, but Gomer Pyle looks like a genius compared to you all.'

I blame the wine.

Trying to get another gout attack. Now let's get that conversation started again.

I think a healthy Zimmerman could be a boon to this team. The guy did hit 36 HRs last year and, in the baseball economy of today, $14 million is not a ton of cash. I think we should give Zim as much time as possible to rehab, make sure he is 100% healthy(he is not good unless he is fully healthy) and ride the Reynolds hot hand until it eventually goes cold. Right now, getting the best of Mark Reynolds while Zim is on the DL is pretty much best case scenario. The guy will come back down to Earth, and a healthy Zimmerman is a more talented and patient hitter than Mark Reynolds.

Very good post. I agree.

I'm trying to decipher this.  Make me look like Gomer Pile / Pyle?  That means you make me look like a guy not known for his smarts.  But the first half of the post suggests that abaltonat suggests that he thinks the other posters aren't sharp.  Add in the "I'm not even smart at baseball," and it seems like he is trying to say that, in comparison, he's a genius, but instead, he simply reinforces his admission that he's not smart at baseball.

Shazam!

It's pointless to try to decypher, the sentence is so incoherent it reminds me of the style of a certain lose canon.

It's not a political comment, it's a grammar/sentence structure comment.

I think you saw it after he edited both his and Gburg's posts...  :stir:

Unless, of course, you edited both of them...  :hysterical:

It will all depend on the strength of the batch that Zimmerman gets for the stretch run.

Face's stuff usually takes a while to kick in or takes a while to get up to the full dose.

Usually 100 at bats... or is it plate appearances?

Agreed. Murphy at 1st. Difo at 2nd. I guess you keep him until Adams and Zimm are off the DL.
