The sun shines,people forget.....
Great pull, Spidernat. All the way back to 1982.
One week doesn't save a season. Lots of time left but they have to put together a two or three week strong stretch before I am confident. A series win against Phillies will get get me neutral on this team.If the Nats are within three or four games of 1st when Rendon is back and Murphy gets off DL, then it is time and the rest of the division may as well just quit.
4 games is a lot make up in mid-September.
You still don't get this thread, do you?
Here it goes. I'm cautiously optimistic about the Nats. Barring any new major injuries, if Rendon and Murphy eventually come back (and Maybe Eaton in August), I think we'll start playing a lot better.
I'm not sure you can have a tire fire avi and be posting in the SSS thread.
I always thought the M&S Grill should have used the song for a promo. "M&S Front"
It would be fun to have a real pennant race. Have we ever played meaningful games in September? It seems our fate is already sealed one way or another by mid August.
The inaugural season comes to mind.
Comparative dates on which the Nationals notched their 19th win, each season:2016 - 4th May (27th match of season)2017 - 4th May (28th match)2014 - 7th May (34th match)2018 - 7th May (36th match)2013 - 9th May (34th match)2012 - 10th May (31st match)2010 - 12th May (34th match)2015 - 13th May (35th match)2005 - 14th May (36th match)2011 - 15th May (40th match)2008 - 18th May (45th match)2007 - 24th May (48th match)2006 - 25th May (48th match)2009 - 18th June (65th match)
Looks like the slow start hasn't been fatal. Looks like we're no longer in the '06- '09 range of starts of the season, both by date and by game.
the crazy lineup stuff Martinez is doing seems to be working.
Harp and Difo have struggled the last several games
