One week doesn't save a season. Lots of time left but they have to put together a two or three week strong stretch before I am confident. A series win against Phillies will get get me neutral on this team.

If the Nats are within three or four games of 1st when Rendon is back and Murphy gets off DL, then it is  :metal: time and the rest of the division may as well just quit.

I always thought the M&S Grill should have used the song for a promo.  "M&S Front"

4 games is a lot make up in mid-September.

Here it goes.  I'm cautiously optimistic about the Nats.  Barring any new major injuries, if Rendon and Murphy eventually come back (and Maybe Eaton in August), I think we'll start playing a lot better.

It's really hard, isn't it? You need to drop the qualifiers and dive right in. No caution. No what ifs. :whip:

I'm not sure you can have a tire fire avi and be posting in the SSS thread. :)

It’s not easy to sweep a team in a 4 game series. And the Pirates were a winning team. Davy and Company have done a fine job. Doing what they have with all those on the DL.

They’ve shown extraordinary heart.

I had a weather/climate prof in college who liked inserting classic rock references in his multiple choice exams, so you can imagine my disappointment when we got to cold/warm/stationary fronts and he didn't have Eminence Front as a decoy.

It would be fun to have a real pennant race.  Have we ever played meaningful games in September?  It seems our fate is already sealed one way or another by mid August.

The inaugural season comes to mind.

The Nats just need to win series now. What a big difference from a few weeks ago.

Yes but because of Angelos you could.not see the Nats on tv....then again you could park right outside the stadium for $5 and then go sit in a $7 seat the equivalent  of which today cost $55......what a sunny time it was

Comparative dates on which the Nationals notched their 19th win, each season:

2016 - 4th May (27th match of season)
2017 - 4th May (28th match)
2014 - 7th May (34th match)
2018 - 7th May (36th match)
2013 - 9th May (34th match)
2012 - 10th May (31st match)
2010 - 12th May (34th match)
2015 - 13th May (35th match)
2005 - 14th May (36th match)
2011 - 15th May (40th match)
2008 - 18th May (45th match)
2007 - 24th May (48th match)
2006 - 25th May (48th match)
2009 - 18th June (65th match)
Looks like the slow start hasn't been fatal.  Looks like we're no longer in the '06- '09 range of starts of the season, both by date and by game.

With another win streak we can jump ahead of all the teams except for the Dusty years, :hysterical:

Didn't Difo walk it off the other day?

You're bordering on not sunny. :)
