For the first time ever I had to turn around because of traffic. Wilson bridge closing or partial closing has really disrupted the traffic patterns around the DC area. after two hours on the road I was not even close to the 14th St. bridge. Started in the Tysons area. And given the weather forecast for later I pulled the plug. NANF.

I did the same. Left the car in Reston and took Metro home to Arlington after I realized traffic was as bad as it was.

Got here in the third, worst traffic I've seen getting to a game. Saw a little more than an inning.

Crappy exchange policy, only counts if you exchange before a restart. Only can be done if you stand in line in the rain at CF box office.

Ticket reps have no idea of policy if game is postponed.

We supposed to be able to exchange our rain delay tickets online...or do we have to go to the box office.  We left before the 1 hr point and I'm sure it was a madhouse at ticket windows...in the rain.

Only the box office, only in the rain.

The policy says you can exchange online as well.

I think he's making the distinction of bailing during the delay vs exchanging once the game is officially postponed...

I'm back at home...logged on to mytickets and I can't exchange them.  The other game that was postponed, can't remember what game it was, but it think it was a Thursday, I went to the box office Friday afternoon to exchange it because it is fairly easy to get there from work.  If they do a double header tomorrow, I can't get there before they'll re-start it...I remember that Thursday game they were saying it had to be exchanged prior to the start of the rescheduled game.

If it has to be at the box office, in the rain, with 15,000 other people, that wouldn't surprise me.  I doubt they actually want it to be convenient and hope people just give up.

Correct, right now you have to go to the box office. If it's canceled the policy will be announced

From the Weather Channel:  Expect occasional thunderstorms to end at 2:15am.

I was told at the LF-CF info booth that SPHs could call their ticket rep or do it on line.

That's not what they said in the SPH lounge, I was told that it was only at the box office and only before a restart was announced. Could be that was wrong info.

would not surprise me.  I'm not going to game this too much at this point.  I went, saw 4 innings, made it home in time to get some sleep. I'm OK with that.

I’m uncertain that this game will be able to be played tonight. Rain looks like it won’t let up.

...would it be asking too much to have a daytime home match that isn't at least threatened by rain/thundershowers?

I'd be happy with Sunday's game being at 1:35 instead of switched to 8pm for ESPN.  I understand the Nats have no say over this but the place will be empty.  I am hoping tonight gets rained out and they reschedule for Sunday afternoon. That being said the Capital Weather Gang just updated their prediction for tonight's game.  It's gone from fairly confident it will be played (6am forecast) to dicey.

As for future Sunday games I fear the 7/22 Braves game, 9/2 Brewers and 9/9 Cubs may all get moved to Sunday night.  Ugh...

you'll have extra time to build an ark.

Capital Weather Gang:  First pitch: Near 70. Cloudy. Scattered light showers. Ninth inning: Mid-60s. Rain likely. Chance of rain: 70 percent Chance of delay: 50 percent Chance of postponement

Nats, and any other teams with "new" stadiums: So short-sighted not to have added a retractable roof. For SO many reasons.

Nats should have offered to pay for it.

One of which isn't that Baseball (and football) is meant to be played outdoors...  :old:

I swapped my Sunday tickets for Saturday because the game was moved to 8:00.
