I know I'm an hour ahead and I hate to break it to you, but Rockies are up 2-0.

Crap. Just catching up. Didn’t realize we had an early start.

Other than Harper there's one hitter in the lineup hitting above .240 and it's Max freakin' Scherzer   :smh:

Rockies had an early start as well   ...   scoring in the first.

FP trying to find anything fun or positive about this team is such an awkward stretch.

However, it is good to know he has allergies.

We still haven't seen Turner for an entire season so it's still to be determined if his speed will be of any real value because we don't know if he will be able to sustain a high OBP over 150+ games.

Remember when he was exciting?

I was lookin' at his Baseball/Reference splits when he got tossed a while back (strike call).    This is his 4th season and so far he hasn't been in 100 games in a season.

For a quick minute but only morons thought he was going to come in and save the lineup (and quite a few here did).

And yet people are in love with him because of his speed. But if he doesn't get on base at a higher clip he'll have to learn how to steal 1B. And let's not forget that his defense still leaves something to be desired.

Walter's a good choice for almost any pitchin' records in DC.

And he stole 13 bases in his career. Caught stealing only four times. Lifetime batting average of .235, although he got more serious about his hitting as he got older. One of the few right-handed hitters to homer over the right-centerfield wall in Griffith Stadium. Wall stood 30 or 40 feet high, about 430 feet from home.

This is the sort of game that encourages me to grab Hank Thomas's biography of Walter Johnson and read it between pitches.

I'm too lazy/dumb to look but who (team) leads the league in strikeouts?    We gotta be close.

That really surprises me.    Of course, I see the Nats everyday which skews my "statistics".
