The part on the Nats is mostly accurate - with the glaring note that no, they didn't finish in third place (even if they probably deserved to).

Do the Orioles plan to hire a manager for next year?

I think they are gong to run the team as a syndicalist commune with a rotating executive.  All of the season ticket holders will get a chance to manage one time through the batting order when the team is in the field.  That could be tough with their pitching because they have fewer than 6 x 162 season ticket holder accounts.

I bet if you crowdsourced all managerial decisions it would be worth 2-3 wins.

Sort of like People's Express airline, where the pilot comes through the cabin partway through the flight selling brownies and coffee and a flight attendant is at the controls in the cockpit.

It’s in the best interest of baseball for them to stick around and help the loser of the Yankees/Red Sox pick up a wild card berth

They must have been impressed with the job their prior bench coach did as a manager last year...

The Orioles are done, once the court rules against MASN.

Is his double, Dr. William Jekyl, going to handle the interview?

6,585 last night. Lowest in OPACY history, not counting the one game where they didn’t admit fans.

People showed up for Cal’s streak, I’m surprised they aren’t turning out for Davis’s

Q: Is your plan to stick it out with the Giants for the rest of your broadcasting career?

A: Well, it’s my 23rd year with the Giants. I mean, my plan before that was to stick it out with the Orioles (laughs). I grew up (in the Bay Area). The Giants were my team as a kid.

I didn’t really know what I was doing when I wanted to stay in Baltimore. I should have definitely wanted to go home. But, I always thought, well, Vin Scully, Ernie Harwell, Jack Buck, guys who were in a city for a long time and were so identifiable with that team, I thought, well that’s what you want. I was there (in Baltimore) for 14 years and I was hoping that would be my place, but I was pretty disappointed when all of a sudden I didn’t even get an offer (to return). Now, I look back and say, ‘What was I thinking?’ I can’t even imagine if I had stayed, because the whole organization seems like it has gone downhill so badly.

Really.    At the time, it may have been a quality spot.    Lookin' back?   It worked out for him.
