Watching him vie for the worst season ever was the only compelling thing about the Os

But a mere foreshadowing of any deal for Royce...

Well...whatever the Orioles' attendance problems may be at Preparation H Park at Camden Yards, there doesn't seem to be anything the matter with Parkway Series attendance at the Nats' end - 32K or better for each of the three fixtures of the now-completed series.

I'll never understand it. Os fans in MoCo and NoVa prefer to spend their money at Nats Park.

What kind of fans are these?

The Orioles had a Buck Showalter snow globe giveaway (buck snowalter har har) for the first 25,000 fans for Monday night’s game against the Mariners.

Attendance ended up being 21,202.

Basically teams with virtually no playoff hopes are getting toilet bowl-level attendance.

Which means we'll probably see playoff expansion within the next 5 years.

Exactly.  MLB will keep on putting lipstick on that pig until the pig finally freaking dies.

Loverro is writing about the Orioles leaving Baltimore. All rumors and inuendo, but interesting none the less. He has it down to a terrible FO.

He presented it more as a forced sale then a Mayflower move.

Once they cure zombie so the old man can become human again for a few moments before deciding who to pass his team on to, they could get good again.

Part of me just wonders if leagues are too large. If attendance is linked to winning, assuming some kind of even distribution, you’re looking at two or three championships in a lifetime and 5 or so championship appearances for a 39 team league. But it’s not random, so it’s possible to go decades without deep playoff runs. At least mlb doesn’t have super teams- as an nba fan, you have to hope your team times sucking correctly and gets lucky in the lottery

The season is too long, going to games is increasingly expensive, and there are zillions of other options.

All of this.

And games themselves are too long.  3+ hours in 95* temps?  Sign me up....

Yeah, I tend to agree. We're of an age now that we get out seats in the club so we can take AC breaks in hot weather. And $16 beers? Please.

All of this.
