I like the batting order a lot. I think Rendon not hitting 2nd is a great idea. RBI opportunities will wake up Rendon and smile bigger... assuming Harper doesn't clear the bases prior.

First thing I noticed was Eaton and Turner at the top .... likin' it.

I always though they were the most successful when they could do the L-R-L-R thing. Now when Murphy comes back you can move Zim down to the 6 spot and do exactly that. This can be a very potent lineup.

meh, I like Murphy closer to the top of the order so more PAs. But, without Howie in the line up, tonight I like Turner 2 and Rendon 4, and I like Eaton and Harper 1 & 3.

What I like most is that Martinez seems to be willing to experiment, but doesn't respond to every negative pressure. I don't think players thrive when the lineup gets overhauled daily, but if something isn't working after a while (like Zim in the 4-spot), trying something else is good. I like seeing a willingness to try new things.

I’ve never agreed with managers who change the entire order because 1 guy is sitting that game.

Martinez finally did something I liked when he got thrown out for standing up for Rendon instead of like Dusty use to do, stomping up to the umpire like he was going to give the umpire a piece of his mind only to turn around with his tail between his legs after the ump looked at him. Now what do you know, Eaton 1st, Turner 2nd and Rendon 4th? Only thing I don't like is Kendrick should be in there if he is not hurt. Maybe there's hope for him after all. How do you know how good this team is if you don't post your best lineup? I like the bench players and they need to play but let the regulars be regulars and build some confidence.
